i just got a black gt bumper that needs to be silver.
what is the cheepest route in doing this? do i need to sand it down and reprime it or can a shop just paint over the black? also would i save some money painting it myself i can get a spray gun but is it hard to use and wat would i need?

you want to sand it down to the bare plastic then take it in to a shop ... if you have it sanded down the shop will be able to do a better job... and here is why most shops are to lazy to sand it down them selves and would just paint over the black... but that doesn't make for good grip and will eventually crack and peel ... also an advantage to sanding it down is you can fill in the letters mustang on the back and it gives a really really clean look but thats takes a ton more time and patience but looks sick in the end... right TJ?
