and since it is a flow through muffler it has a different tone... to get an idea of the change in tone go to youtube and search them...
but remember that the sound is not fully represented on youtube

just the muffler types... one is a smaller glass back the other one looks like a chambered muffler but is built as a flow through with fiberglass stuffed in it

magnaflow...
but again youtube doesn't do justice to either of them... the sound on those two is very compact and subtracts from the true goodness ... my flows are pretty loud when i get on it... but i have never heard magnaflows in person soo

I have a 2000 V6 with MAC LTs, a custom catted X-pipe, and a Borla cat-back. I like the way it sounds, but it's a LOT different than the 40's

welcome to the forums
 , yeah i like my borla side exhaust...these guys are all about flowmaster and macs tho. Plus once you put a FI on your car the exhaust will drastically change too. (if you have what yur name states)

Sound wise: Flowmaster -> Mac : seem to give that "wanna be v8, but yes its a v6" sound. Magnaflow -> Better performance: but seems to give that "v6 nissan 350z/g35" type sound. Which isn't bad but its just not something I could listen to for longer than trip in aaron's mustang. (my friend with the silver one) Everything after that seems to be high king rasp on the v6.

Yea thats the same thing i thought, i thought the first car sounded like a 350z. But i like that sound. I am thinkin of goin wit Mac LT headers, o/r h pipe Magnaflow magnapacks, all in 2 inch, then doin 3 or 3.5 inch tips. What ya'll think of that?
