4.6 in a 350z?

Alright guys I found a 350z that was stolen and stripped and i can get it pretty cheap. I think i have everything from a 97 gt to swap in the 4.6. But do any of you know if this is even possible? How much modifications will I need to make?

why? the VQ35 is a better engine in my opinion

Yeah but i already have the mustang engine and everything....it would save me around $4,000-$5,000

Their about 2.5k with accessories (used)

You should just do a head/intake swap on the 4.6 and drop into a v6 with a blown motor (or GT if you can find one)

Personally I think this would make for a pretty sweet swap, but you're gonna have to build that motor. A stock 4.6 is going to be slower in that car than their stock 3.5, so put a KB on top of it, and call it good.

You'll piss off a LOT of nissan guys if you do this, and I think that's the radness

i like the idea... it would definitely be different, and unique. but would piss some people off.. but you could look at it this way you would have the mustang power (what little it is compared to the 350z's) and have the handling of the 350z

if it was a pi motor w/ h/c/i than it would totally be worth it imo. maybe if you have the cash, you could do that before you drop it in?

well if you got a VQ35 and put about the same amount of money into it that you are about to put into a swap you would have a rather fast Z

How much cash is it gonna cost to make a 4.6 work in the 350z? (labor not being an issue). I might just do the pi swap, P&P the intakes and heads and put the 4.6 in my car. I mean I have everything needed I'm pretty sure....

Well getting the electronics to work, (I have no clue if the engine will even fit in the engine bay), then you have to figure out the transmission, I'll be modest and guess 5k?
