SCT Tune Help

so i have a sct xcal 3 from bamachips and when i put their custom 93 octane tune in my valves start rattling/pinging and i contacted them and doug from there said it was not his tunes but my car. the thing is though that my car didn't do this before the tune and when i take the tune off theirs no rattling. anyone know why it would do this or how to make it not? i've had nothing but problems with the tuner so far, the first one i got was deffective so i got the second and now the tune makes my cars valves rattle i just want to use the tunes. thanks alot for any help

probably a shitty tune. get it dyno tuned. the dyno shop will use your tuner to save the tunes and modify them a little. this way you will have a perfect tune for your setup.

well i just went out and put the 93 octane tune back in my car and i had 87 octane in it and their was no rattling or pinging which is wierd but good haha. and my car was on empty so i went and got premium gas. my car only pings a tiny bit and thats when i floor it. even then it sounds like if you had like tic tac in a container and lightly shook it and it sounds like that for like a second. is that bad or becuase its only doin it a tiny bit it really doesn't matter? thanks

its a 93 octance tune and im running 93 octane. i had 87 octane and it was on low fuel when i put the 93 octane tune on and i didn't hear any pinging. i then got 93 octane which is in my car now and every so often i hear a lil pinging very lightly for like half a sec. and when i sas light pinging i was with my dad in the car and he said he didn't hear anything.

pull 2 degrees in all rpm ranges at wide open throttle. that should alleviate the ping. im guess WOT is when u hear the ping. most tuners dont modify the idle and PT timing and if they do its only 3-5 degrees. which on 93 should be ok. but if it is pinging at part throttle too. pull 2 degrees globally.
