govonors on mustang??


A friend of mine told me my stang has govonors on it so that it wont exceed 120 and that i could probably get 10-15mph more if i took it off? he said its something in the computer. im look for some background info on this..true or false...

It is true your Mustang has an electronic speed limiter..................

But it can be changed through a chip or by a hand held tuner.

is it legal to change it? and if so, can i take it somewhere that does dynotuning and have them change it for me?

yea i made a post a few days ago exactly about this topic. dont take it off, just get a tuner chip. im getting an X-cal flasher and ASP UD pulley from VMP. i'd suggest the same, or u can look at my post. what im sayin is all knowledge from them

Ya, your friends right. I have an 05, and it wont let me go over 120. Completely sucks, but the chip will take care of it
