hey im newer at this and need some help i am looking to get longtube headers and live in pa. Alot of sites say that longtubes are illegal? can anyone clarify this or attach a site saying longtubes are legal for pa?

they are if you have to have your car smoged. i would check your local laws though. here in california they are illegal. you you have to take emissions tests?

or if you cant find a shady place that wil pass you with an extra $200 or so you have to swap out the stock ones every 4 years. PITA!

smog test here is yearly here, so its every 4 years in SoCal then?

and i can get also free inspections lol my dad knows every one here

when do u have to get an inspection on ur car, thas when they check ours...well not mine most of the time. most of the time my inspection consists of blinkers, and lights, and head on out haha

Cali smog is every 2 years, unless you live in a "smog on transfer of title only" county... or have your car registered there

From what I've seen, if there are emissions laws, longtubes are out. I believe it has to do with O2 sensors and cat placement. Cali laws are such that you have to have the cats in the stock location, and I believe that LTs would push your cats downstream.
