cold air intake

Any reccomedations on a good cold air intake kit and has anyone herd that driving through the rain with one can cause water t get in the engine and cause damage? i was doing some research (im only 18 and this is my second car, the first that I bought myself) and i read that is it true and if so are there any ways to prevent it?

any CAI i dont think makes a huge difference, i got mone off ebay and it fit in fine and works fine...the water thing scares me now...
i'd say save ur money and get it off ebay. mine costed $50 total with the shipping added to that and it does the same thing pretty much as any cold air intake. but if anything K&N makes a good one for sure

i have had a MAC fenderwell CAI on mine for several years now and never had any issue sucking water into it even when driving in heavy rain or through puddles, mostly what people should be concerned about are the RAM air intakes like those that March sells for the 5.0L.

the main differences in the CAI's are the material the tubes are made of, some are composite and others are metal, the metal intakes are more prone to heat soak. the other difference is the location of the filter, some are in the fender others in the engine bay, those in the fender pull cooler/denser air.
