OMG, thats funny but true. Mustangs were not designed for fat people.

When I was in Detroit, I used a couple 50 pound bags of rock salt. That way if you get stuck somewhere, you can throw it under your wheels for grip. some people use sand too.

I wouldnt go too heavy. A hundred extra pounds should help a bit.

I put about 5 bags of kitty litter in my trunk. It totalled about 190 pounds. I got good traction after that, but it did give the car a funny look/stance. The kitty litter is good b/c like the rock salt it can be used to help you get unstuck and also I have a cat, so it won't go to waste after the good weather returns

im not gonna lie, i've tried to drive in a few snow storms.

end result was me getting home safely, but my mother is forever traumatized from the 360's.

now if it snows or is to icey im stuck at home unless i take her POS cutless

i even had weight in the back, and it was a bitch. Just stay home, or call for a ride if ya gotta go out.

im not going to lie... i have yet to get stuck... i went to my old high school that has a slight slope at one end of the parking lot... so i stopped at the bottom and started to go up it... took me about 2 minutes to make it up 300 feet but hell i made it... just gotta drive smart is all

Also if you think tires make all the difference for winter then look into some Kuhmo Ecsta ASX thats what i have and they work just fine no problems

go buy a cheap beater

I would say buy a secondary car for the winter. mustangs are not winter cars and you are a dumbass if you are driving in snow. go spend 500 bucks on a 1990 tempo or something rather than smash up you stang. just a thought

$500 on a beater or about $200 on some snow tires. these things blow in the snow! never again will i drive my gf's car in the snow. the other day in the snow i weaved sideways about 5 times on the highway!! good thing there was no one around. got closer to town and got stuck 3 times, then it was time to go over the hill......no way in hell we were going to make it so we left it at the mobil near by. i walked to my house which was right over the bridge and drove mr beast of a caprice without a problem. i bought winterforce tires on all 4's for about $300. invest in snow tires people, they really do make a difference. i have yet to get stuck or spin out in my car to where i cant control it.

call me a dumb ass all you want i don't give a shit... just think about what you say before you say it...

all you have to do is not be stupid in the winter... i just don't get it... i have not gotten stuck once this year... and we have had snow on the ground for 2 weeks

STOP being stupid when driving in snow... take your time and plan out your route

Im sorry if you took that comment as an insult omz. All im sayin is that its stupid to try and make a sports car drive in the winter. You can drive in the snow good, great...so can i.........that still doesnt change the fact that mustangs are not designed to be driven in snow. So dont freak out because of how i think. I dont know what the winter is like in Nebraska...but here in PA a snow storm usually drops 6+ inches. I know we had over a foot before thanksgiving. All i was sayin was an opinion. Dont take it so personal. If your age is correct youve only been drivin for about 3-4 years. I cant give you credit on your experience. Sorry for it soundin like an asshole, but i am and it cant be helped.
