What Can I Use To Get An O2 Sensor Out, Help!

juggs leave this here i only get quick responses from these guys.....

i have been working all morning on changing my G/Fs 02 sensor out, its the bank 2 heated sensor which just happens to be the hardest of the 3 on the car to et out. she has 98 camaro and it has never been replaced before so its got 9 years of rust on it. i bought the 02 sensor removal tool and have used a small air wrench and a regular socket wrench but i cant get it out. it is a very tight space so i cant get a torque wrench or anything to big in there so is there anything i can put near the threads to maybe eat away a little rust or make it so i can get it out??? any help would be great. im at work right now and im going strait there after work to finish up so i have 6 hours to get all the info i can and then im off work and heading over there so please give me whatever you got!!

help please!! thanks guys

-Tyler

Don't know if you got it out.

A few suggestions.

1. If you break off the porcelain part, you might be able to get a 7/8" socket and breaker bar in there, which should do it.

2. If all else fails, remove the exhaust system parts the sensor is in and use the socket/breaker bar approach as in (1).
