stall issue

so in the last week or so, my car has started to stall in neutral sometimes when i deaccelerate. for instance, if im coming up on a red light, ill shift it into neutral (its a manual), and brake, and then it will stall right before i stop. its a really quiet stall, i dont even my car is off until i try to accelerate again and then look down and see the tach is at 0. it does not happen everytime... any ideas on what is causing this? dirty fuel maybe? should i get some fuel cleaner and put that in my tank? oh and my car has 53,4xx miles.

the weird thing is, sometimes if i catch that it is going to stall, if i push in the clutch i can save it. but its already in neutral so i don't understand why helps, but it does.

any ideas?? errrr... this is lame

i did some research and the symptoms match conditions caused by a dirty IAC, so im hoping thats the problem.

theres something strange i'l say it has something to do with the tranny.. cuz why if u press the clutch in neutral u save it..??

a iac cant do that.. well it can but if it was the iac why would pressing the clutch in NEUTRAL save u from stalling?
