2001 V6... Gas!

So I recently aquired a 2001 v6 Convertible. Nice car but the MPG sucks I mean literally omg. It barely gets 250 on a full tank of gas. Which I think is pretty low.

Because I had a 98 GT and that thing always would get at least 250 the bare minimum when I went faster at times but at most 300. So why does a 2001 v6 get less than a v8 which was made 3 years earlier. So please help someone, tell me if i'm going crazy.

Only thing I could think is that the tank is just like 4 gallons smaller or something, idk though I can't find the 98 tank size vs. a 2001 tank size. Thanx though for the help guys.

same size tank... your car just isn't properly maintained like your GT was...

You need to clean it up and it will run like it should... clean all the sensors and you will see a great improvement in milage

clean the sensors, t.b, change fuel filter, run some fuel system cleaner and check your air filter
