... how about carbon fiber vinyl for the tail lights and get a carbon fiber hood and a tubular K member to reduce weight in the front... will work better IMO

there are numerous sites online that sell both of those. carbon fiber hoods are very expensive but only weigh 2 - 5 pounds lighter than after-market fiberglass hoods... imo, not worth the extra few hunderd dollars

I really like the Carbon fiber hoods. They are a LOT STRONGER than fiberglass. I already know exactly what hood I want...but it is $700 and I have other things to do first. As far as a cheap hood I think you're out of luck man. If you want good CF you're gonna have to pay for it sorry bro.

carbon fiber hoods are no stronger than fiberglass,,, and you can repair the fiberglass hoods... i personally know a friend that was putting on a carbon fiber hood, was holdiong it with a friend at waist heigth, dropped it and it busted up... fiberglass would eb the much better bet.. if it does get cracked or anything then you can repair it and wont be able to tell... you cant repair carbon fiber unless you go to a specialty shop... even then i dont know if it can be done.

BTW the mrbodykit carbon fiber hoods are around $700 a piece. They are one of many places that sell the stalker 2 carbon fiber hood that I want. They charge $686 for it. He can't get that and lights too for under $700.

yeah but the quality put into carbon fiber hoods isnt the same quality in aircraft. the carbon fiber in hoods is thin and not meant to be super strong and hold up to a lot... its means to be light-weight and bust when in a wreck... if it was strong as steel in the hoods than it would have to have crunch parts in the hood so it would wrinkle up in a wreck... these hoods dont have them so it just designed to be light-weight and bust in a wreck... same as after-market fiberglass hoods.. again the weight difference is so small its not necessary... unless you want to look like rice

Well I like the stalker 2 and they don't make it in fiberglass. I was planning to have it painted to match my car so that it doesn't look ricey.

As I mentioned mrbodykit sells it, but there are several sites that sell it. However, EVERY site that sells it gets it from VIS Racing. It is a functional air ram hood. There are fiberglass hoods that look very similar, but none are exactly the same. My car is a '95. If you look under hoods for the '95 you'll find it on mrbodykit. Bodykitz.com also sells it, as well as several other sites. Besides I still think that carbon fiber is more durable. And it is a bit lighter. However, if you can find it in fiberglass for a lot less I might consider it.

the Stalker 2 hood is aka Mach 2 Hood.. it is not a functional ram air hood... mrbodykit.com sells them for $349.99 (fiberglass) and $685 (carbon fiber). there are 2 functional ram air hoods made for the 94-98 and one is a very ugly ram air hood and the other is a hood sold by cervinis, both of which are functional with a ram air kit. the Stalker 2 hood is not ram air unles syou custom rig something for it... there is a hood similar to the look of it (known as Mach 1 on mrbodykit) which is the same as the cervinis hood which is functional with the ram air kit.
