Racing Stripes

What are some good recommend places to get black racing stripes for a 2000 mustang and how would you recommend putting them on

I have never bought any so can’t give a good recommendation as to were to go to get them. However, I can give u some good tips for installing them.
1 make sure that the car is clean. Then remove the wax from the area were u will be applying the stripes, water and dish detergent works well.
2 line them up with the backing still on
3 take a sponge and wet the place u will be applying them with soapy water as well as the strips them selves. (this allows u to move them as needed, so they can be properly aliened)
4 peal the backing off and work slowly and carefully making sure to get out all air bubbles, also only peel back small sections of the baking at a time so u can work slowly and get it on right.

my advice is to get it proffessionally done because it may look easy, but its hard as hell to actually get the stripes on STRAIGHT

if you take your time and measure over and over and then tape the center of the stripe down to the car and use it as a pivot point it might be possible... and here is what i mean... line it all up then in the center tape it down so it can spin or move... then peel backing off of the front part of the vinyl then line it up properly... and let it dry a good amount... then peel the backing of the rear part and repeat the steps... if you let it dry enough on the front you can remove the tape cause it wont spin or slide ... just take your time and make sure there are no bubbles

a local vinyl shop?

there are plenty of ricer websites you can get some off... look at Auto Parts, Motorcycle Parts, Car Parts, Truck Accessories & Parts, Auto Accessories - JC Whitney to get a good start... see if they have something... and if not google vinyl racing stripes and see what you some up with

IMO stripes should be painted on, not cheap vinyl.
