i thought pats didn't come around till 97?
or is the pats not being there the problem with the gauges?

pats is where you have to have the key with the chip programmed to your car, so it would be a whole lot harder to steal. but it's only in stangs 97 and up i believe...
and sorry i don't know how to disable the anti theft..

ok thats what i was thinking you were saying, and would you just have to keep the alarm disabled after you put them in?

lol i didnt cut them lol i didnt even know it was there someone pointed it out lookin at the motor. k well the wiring cluster is from mine. all i used from the 97 is the actually gauge faces and little gauge motor things. only reason i got it is bc my needles are a nasty yellow instead of orange. and the clear plastic cover was glazed over.

Well if ur car is PATS capable Ford can reprogram the Encryption keys so that the swapped cluster will work. but he has an after market alarm that is screwed. and the cluster if it was from a pats car im pretty sure thats why its failing. and i thought the 95s still had an anti theft system.

well i can re-wire the alarm but it will the car will go apeshit and ill have to listnen to beeping till i get it fixed. so what your saying is the car wont start bc the anti-theft. and it did before bc the alarm n stuff is cut ? or something like that. wierd stuff i unpluged the neg. batt. cable last night while it was running the car shut down and then reved to hell b4 i hooked up also the whole electrical went out for that brief moment.

i tried everything i could think off we tested the battery and it says it was at 11.6v which is just below normal. and when ran at 1500rpms it the alternator should be running a charge or 14.v or higher and it only read 13.6v so somethings draining the power i guess im really baffled by this the only thing ive done to it is put those gauges in. and even if they didnt work the car should still crank normal.

i would never buy re-manufactured parts for the only reason they broke on me like every week. Its better paying 20-30 bucks more for the "new" part not a "re-manufactured" one

yeah but the parts all have a lifetime warranty so i cant complain especially seeing as how they were bought when my grandparents were fixing the car to give to me.
