New Rims 17 By 9... Will I Have A Problem?

i just got new rim's there 17 by 9 in. but i measured them today and from each end point its 10inches...

am i gunnna have a problem with the steering in the front if the rims are that wide?

i know plenty of ppl have rims that might be this size so any of you with that can please leave a post about it..

are they 9 or 10 wide? 10 will rub if you run anything wider than a 275 up front. you can run at smallest a 275 and at largest a 315 on a 10" wheel

well its supose to be 9 inches, but from one end point to the other is 10, maybe from the inner part it supose to be 9in. probably, but if its 10 ur saying it'll rub?

tire size and backspacing determines if it will rub. what kind of wheels are they? got a link?

most 17x9 wheels for mustangs have these stats:

Wheel Size: 17x9"
Wheel Backspacing: 5.95"
Wheel Offset: +24mm
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 4.5 inch

most 17x10 wheels (usually not for mustangs) have these stats:

Wheel Size: 17x10.5"
Wheel Backspacing: 6.38"
Wheel Offset: +22mm
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 4.5 inch

mustangs have wheels choices of 17x9, 17x10.5, 18x9 and 18x10 for best applicable fits...

those are 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear. you want a 275/40.17 tire front and a 315/35/17 tire rear.

you will want to pick out your tires and know what you are talking about and what the numbers mean, but yeah. if you havent already made a purchase on the wheels, check out the packages by "AFS Wheels" on ebay. you can get them cheaper with wheels/tires already mounted and balanced than finding a shop that has the equipment to mount a 17x10.5 wheel. i have one shop within an hour of me that will touch my wheels...

dont go bigger than 275mm wide and you are fine up front. get some street tires up front and some drag radials out back or some better hooking nitto's or something out back in a 315mm wide tire.

i have 275/40/17s and 315/35/17s on my 17x9 and 10.5 wheels
