New Member Seeks Insight On His Purchase

I just bought me a 2007 Mustang V6 Premium package. (wasn't able to bring myself to pay another 5G's for a GT)

Anyway, I got the pony package w/it so it has the spoiler & such & I know I'm going to get black racing stripes(red car)

I was just curious as to what else do you believe would look good on this car? I would like to hook it up alittle bit. Right now I'm going more towards looks than speed as I purchased a manual & am going to need to get used to driving a manual before I try to speed it up. Really want a body kit but I'm not sure on how get it installed.

Thanks for any insight

i'm not a big fan of too many aftermarket body kits, always liked the more traditional look of the saleen or roush kits... also cdc (classic design concepts) offers quite a bit of goodies to spice up the looks. i really like the dove tail spoiler look on the 05+'s...

Is it possible to change it to a dual ex rather than single? & know any sites or have any info about how to do so?

First thing I'd do is gears and exhaust, lots of fun with those. Plus, it's not really a Mustang until it sounds like a Mustang

How's this one?? I really want to have a dual exhaust. I'm new to the auto scene(changing from video games to this) Hopefully I'll get alittle more to show for my money rather than beefy thumbs :-)

I looked at one of the roush kits.......... wow
Definately wouldnt mind getting one of those, but going to have to wait. What would you reccomend for exhaust kits?

it is possible and highly recommended... but would advise against that magnaflow kit because it is still utilizing the factory y-pipe...

here is a picture comparison of the v6 to v8 exhaust:

as you can see a "true dual" exhaust as found on the v8 models do not have a y-pipe they will utilize a stock h pipe, or an aftermarket x-pipe.

you have a few options... you can buy a "take off" gt exhaust system where someone is selling their originals after upgrading fairly cheaply and have your local exhaust shop cut your y-pipe and merge your existing setup to the gt h-pipe. but the most desired approach would probably be to buy a set of MAC ceramic coated long tube headers, with a MAC v6 prochamber and catback exhaust of choice, however this method will eliminate the cats and be more expensive than the first option.

so many people want body kits...idk why. i got a body kit and i wasted 3grand, buying it, putting it on, and taking it off worst idea ever! (ive posted this lik 100 times already)
body kit isnt the way to go. get rims, not ricey rims, just look up on ebay mustang rims...there are alot of hot rims for any stang. then if u do anythin witht he body just get a front spoiler.
oh and exuast
