ok so my car rattles like hell

i think its the alternator..it doesnt miss...backfire nothing bad
just rattles especially when i hit the gas

help please

Check the belt tensioner and the idler pullies

the idler pullies....my cars idle goes up and down almost constantly...but when it runs for a good few min it wont do it so much

your leaving a lot up in the air here man... here are some thing i can tell you to check...

your engine and tranny mounts
spark plugs
all sensors
things like that... now that is a huge list if you really check all the sensors soo...

mine did that too a while back i checked it out and i had a vacuum line that came unplugged it ran to some kind of sensor or something on the back of the motor i hooked it back up and it cut out the rattle. but i dont think its as bad as what your talkin about

ok like when i turn the radio down starting off in 1st gear if you push the gas in slowly or fast it doesnt matter ...iv read somethings that someone had the same problem and they were saying it was the alternator going bad....but really it kinda sounds more to me like a constang click click click noise and it almost sounds like its coming from somewhere on the drivers side of the engine

no codes i know how to use that thing on the dash where it tells you engine problems in codes and it shows no problems

could be the alternator, injectors clogged, fouled spark plugs, a number of things, if it was throwing a code it would be just easier to detect...

if its making a clicking noise i would guess alternator but it could be a number of things

does it shake going down the road? Is it worse at certain speeds? is it a rattle sound or it the car physically shaking? is it worse when you turn?
