man i own and automatic and i can safely say that is not normal. some cars might have a tougher clutch to push but thats not right.

usually a strong clutch is recognized by the amount of force you need to push it in... I personally like stiff clutches some people like clutches that feel like stepping on noodles... its all a preference thing...
and tell your girlfriend to move the seat forwards

sounds normal, all mustangs seems to have rather tough clutch pedals. Now my honda on the other hand is like as Zu said "stepping on noodles" lol

I just replaced my original Clutch with a brand new one, and I can definetly say I prefer the stiffer pedal. But I found it interesting that there are really no simple ways to grease the pivot ball. I know on some chevy's they have a grease nipple that forces the stuff right up in between the ball and the fork. I know when I took mine apart it was crazy dry up in there. Maybe even greaseing in there will help with the stiffness. A little lube never hurt anybody.

Haha I wouldn't say its abnormal at all. It's certainly not something you should be worried about. If you like it don't bother changing it, I like a stiff clutch and had mine replaced because it was just too noodle-y. It's totally a preference thing.

it may be a clutch cable freezing up a V6 clutch isnt hard to push down at all. Im used to driving 03 cobras and my stang with a King cobra. another possibility is the front bearing retainer thats grooved up. Or all of you saying that they are hard to push the pedal down better hit the gym.

same thaing happened to me when i got my car. after the drive home my leg was shaking. i drove my neighbors porche and the clutch pedal was easy as hell to push and that car itself was easier to drive/shift then my car and it was a hell of alot faster too

my dads 350z is so sloppy feeling... you can push the clutch in with your big toe... maybe it just has something assisting it... hydraulics or something like that...
