Good News and Bad News

the good news- my dad gave me a deal today, since i am getting my liscence next week. my dad said that if don't get any tickets for a year minus noise ordinance and window tint tickets; he would buy me a 03-04 cobra when i turn 17 .

the bad news- i would have to sell my v6 stang and possibly my 81' amc spirit gt.

he is a well known street racer in south florida, but quit after he wrapped his car around a telephone pole doing about 120. both of my grandpas were racers. my grandpa on my mom's side raced nascar at talladega for a few races when he was younger of course and my mom's stepdad is the defending champ at a local circle track near mobile, alabama. so speed is in my blood.

south florida?! really....who is he, i live in ft lauderdale (south florida)

as far as the deal...keep ur rims for the cobra. and i'd just lay low for a year. and 03-04 cobra is stock s/c. and K&N intakes are sed to give it up to 30+hp....i'd just save ur money, and leave ur v6 alone and just not get tickets. but i live in south florida...ive bee racing for almost a yr and iand driving for more then a year 95% of the time over the speed limit...ive never gotten a ticket..

Seriously kid you are extremely lucky. Speed and racing is in my blood as well. My friends will swear I have nos as adrenaline, and gas for blood. NOT street racing is a good idea anyways, not getting tickets should be good, and not speeding should be good also if you keep thinking about what your getting. So as long as you think about that cobra you may get you should be fine.

i'm not lucky; i'm actually blessed. itschristorres8 we live in northwest florida in navarre. it is between ft.walton and pensecola.
.itschristorres8, my dad got his reputation before we were even born, but his name is wendell rowan jr. encase your dad might know him. my dad is originally from west palm beach. he did live in ft. lauderdale for a while. he drove a 1977 amc hornet amx. it was red with cragars. he used to hang with a guy named rj. rj had a beige chevy monza with a 327.

ohh ur more north of me then. but yea keep cool for a year and get the cobra. 03-04 cobra are SICK!. plus when you do get it i recommend to swap the supercharger and get a kenne bell supercharger with either 2.4 or 2.6 size pulley. if you want i can post a video just on KB(kenne bell) cobras. THERE ALL SICK, all of em are under 11 seconds. or very low 11's.

that can in no way be true, unless the cobra can rev above 15k rpm lol

Also, you are very lucky, even my cousin who's dad is the CEO for a major and rather famous science/medical technology company didnt get a car as nice as a cobra, she got a jeep cherokee.

also your father is not a "street racer" because street racing is rather stupid(im sure he undersands this now, U'ed car) and there is no such thing a "street racer" only race car drivers or in the case of people racing on the street, idiots with cars that should have 45mph governors.

But good luck with getting that cobra, you shouldnt have a problem not getting any tickets(if you do, i laugh at you!) as ive gone 3 years with out one and dont plan on ever putting myself in the situation to get one(well, im not an idiot either)

i saw at Discount auto parts a K&N CAI saying that it can add sumthin like 30.1 hp to a cobra, and it showed other gains to other cars. idk if its true. thats just wat it says

it will net higher gains on the cobra as opposed to the v6 or gt, but 30rwhp is way too high.
