its not as easy as you'd think... a big pain in the ass if you dont have the right tools or know how. it gives some kick though, I'd sell you mine, but its gone already. when I did mine, I had a problem with the crank bolt being just a hair shy of grabbing onto the threads, so, I had to "negotiate" the pulley on far enough to get that bolt to fit. make sure you dont strip out those threads. and remember, do it yourself, means it'll probably take twice as long as you'd expect.

hahaha its around 10-15HP at the crank i believe somewhere around there, its noticable with the butt-o-meter as well as on a dyno so i personally think its worth it and will be getting UD pullies soon.

i would much rather do it myself then trust some low paid dime store mechanic with my car who charges me $90 an hour labor when i could do it myself and know its actually done right for the low price of an hour or so just my opinion, i try and do everything i can on my car for 3 reasons, 1) it saves a TON of money. 2) i have a hard time trusting a stranger with my car 3) its fun and giver me a since of accomplishment when im done!! like hey i did that, i dont need to pay a stupid mechanic!

u.d doesnt give h.p they free it. You lose h.p because of the accessories (a.c water pump etc) so by getting a smaller pulley it has less mass to rotate thus freeing some of the lost h.p (i think that's the explanation ) also it prolongs the life of the accesories

wow that's nerdy talk 8)

oh, i agree with the diy method. another reason for me is respect. if someone pulls up with a car thats totally done by a shop, i dont respect it, because the person has no idea what went into making the car like it is... they just have deep pockets.
