02 CAI Install Guide?
So i just bought a CAI from ebay and surprise surprise no instructions. I did some searching here and on google but got frustrated since I couldnt find what I wanted. I also went on to K&N's website and fround the one for my car but the install is a little bit different, but it gives me a big picture. On the KandN one they show a air temp wire that goes into the plastic of the stock pipe, I dont have that on my car and my CAI in got also has a hole there for it , how do I cover this up? But if anyone has any detailed instructions with pictures plz plz link the site or if anyone has a pdf let me know i can pm my email to them. Excited to see if it makes a difference and praying all goes well and I have no issues. Thanks in advance!

wait...how do you not have the intake air charge sensor? Can you give us some pics of what exactly your talking about. We can prob help you out more. For my car it was pretty easy. Unhooked all connections and battery just out of habit, loosened up screw clamps and then slipped the whole thing out as one piece. Next I took it apart as much as possible to get the MAF box thing easier to handle. Once I had the whole MAF box thing I unhooked the clamps and got inside of it to get the MAF out. Once I did that I got my cai ready to be installed. What I did to install it was start at each end and meet up in the middle in a way. You'll see what I mean. So I took the filter, heat shield/shield that holds the cai in place, the screen, gasket, and MAF. I installed the screen, gasket, and MAF onto the second portion of the CAI first then installed the shield. Once I did that I slipped the tube in, and let it rest. Next I grabbed the filter, got underneath my car and slipped the filter onto the CAI through the bottom of my fender. After that part was done I grapped the remaining parts of the CAI. (One more tube, two rubber grommet style tubes, and 4 screw clamps.) Installed One of the rubber tube style grommetts to the throttle body.(The shorter one with the groove in it for the screw clamp.) Once that grommett was on I took two screw clamps and slipped them onto that grommett, but I only tightened one of them down, and let the other one rest there while I installed the other other grommett onto the MAF. This time I only put one screw clamp onto the grommett and tightened it down. I then took the last of the CAI parts that were not installed (tube, and screw clamp). I put the last screw clamp onto the grommett and let it rest on there making sure it wouldn't slip off as I slipped the tube into the grommett. After the tube was in place I tightened the second grommett by the MAF onto the tube. Last is just to slip the tube into the grommett on the throttle body slip that screw clamp that has been sitting there over the groove that your cai tube should be sitting underneath and tighten it down. After that you have installed and just need to reconnect your intake charge temp sensor(into rubber grommet on upper portion of your CAI itself), your MAF sensor, another sensor that I forgot the name off(same as ICT sensor), and your battery. Now for the two sensors on the upper portion of the CAI, my grommets didn't match up and I had to switch them around. Since it isn't name brand don't expect it to be absolutly be a plug and play type of deal.
