Wheels

she's got 16's right now...

what is the largest i can have?

also, what are thoughts towards having the rear wheels and inch or two larger? how will that affect performance?

thanks.

wellyou can oput a 20 in wheel in there but that doesnt mean it looks good. 17 to 18 is about the biggest you can go and still look good with your body style. i say put on some 17 with 10-10.5 inrear and a 17 with 9 inch fronts

so 17's (9 wide) up front and fat 18's in the rear would be alright?

yea, thats perfect. probably look real nice too. the 18's in the back you can get 10 or 10.5 inches wide. but 17's (9 wide) up front and fat 18's in the rear would be alright. what rims are u thinkin about getting?

rather wide all around(not extreme, 9 front 10.5 rear good, look at super cars)= better turning & better traction

get all around 17's, im ordering you!
the less side wall in the rear tires the poorer the strait line traction and once you get to a certain point the cornering as well, 17's are still rather good for strait line traction(amazing for low powered cars with a fat tire) and probalbly the best for cornering traction

why would you put 18s in the back and 17s up front? do you like the look? if you want good handling setup 17x9 and 10.6 or 18x9 and 10 are the way to go. every application is unique though

or you could lower the car or front end. most aftermarket lowering kits drop the front lower than the rear anyhow.

considering:
http://cruizinconceptswholesale.com/...CBWB179&cat=17
up front

and
http://cruizinconceptswholesale.com/...BWB1810&cat=17
behind

but the metals look different... i'm hoping that's just lighting though

maybe it would accomplish the look better if i just put 18's on the rear and left 16's up front... i'm just toying with the concept..

i'm gonna end up turning this thing into a roadster lol

to each his own, but 18s and 16s will look dumb. you could get the same size wheel and a taller tire out back and achieve the same look.

i wouldnt order the rims off there...thats kinda expensive. ive seen those same rims on ebay must cheaper. there if you get all four it'll end up aroud $460 with out shipping. on ebay u can get those i believe for $350 or $400.
or they have ur rims with tires on it already for $750
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-Bl...24834556QQrdZ1

or just the rims for $400
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-9-...24832691QQrdZ1

or u can choose different rims that are black with the chrome lip

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-9-...26743902QQrdZ1

i got the last set of rims and i love them! i just need tires for them

I buy everything almost off of ebay. I have had no problems yet, and recommend a few of the companies I bought from for other purchases. Buy the wheels and tires. They come mounted and balanced with 40psi in them ready to slap on. You can always get packages cheaper than building a set.

only thing i wouldnt get off ebay is those $10 chips! but the rims and CAI are fine! my rims came with locking lug nuts. so ppl cant steel them, and i love the deep dish rims.

i am thinking about putting a little yellow on the rims as well... nothing obscene, very subtle.. just want to match the car and personalize it.

no racing stripes for this car.. black accents down the top and side. next summer this car is going to be hype as hell.

man, saving up for something i get to enjoy driving the shit out of is fun. why the hell did i not get a mustang 5 years ago is what i'm saying to myself. lol.

i used to be a computer guy... more ram... faster processor... fuck. computers do what i need them to already. my ride can always give me more.

thank you ford for teaching me to love a car.
