how much did the throttle body help you? did you get a decent amount of horsepower out of it?

I havent installed it yet. Im going to try and install everything this weekend. First im just going to port th inlet to the mainfold and put the throttle body on and see if it helps at all. Then in a couple of weeks ill port the whole upper and lower intake.

don't forget to remove the upper plenum before porting and make sure that you wash everything out and give it a good cleaning once done...

make sure you get new gaskets.
and i hope you know what your doing with the porting im currently porting my upper(slowly) and its not cake i'll tell you that. takes time and if your not patient then dont do it. ive only done 4 runners and HALF the intlet of the intake. the inlet is the hardest part and most frustratings it might just be the grinding stones that im using though, im going to see if different tools work better then what i have |

I found that 60 grit sand paper worked best for me around the tight corners where I couldn't get the dremel. but idk what youre doing exactly there, so, good luck! clean it well when youre done! carb cleaner works great for getting rid of the dirt and such

I think it's like $170 shipped to my door. I've heard Pro 5.0 is one of the best. My dad uses it in his '78 Mustang II(377 stroker)

I guess its just one of those things everyone has an opinion about lol. Has anyone found a name brand(not eBay kind) that they don't like or is giving them problems?

I've been reading about the MGW and Pro 5.0 and they are both suppose to be great shifters but some say the Pro 5.0 handle is too short and if you don't have long arms in ours cars that can be a problem. So I guess I'll get an MGW instead. From the MGW website they are $179 + $9 sh. Does anyone know anywhere cheaper to get them?
