whole car vibrates

so my whole car starts vibrating when i hit 55 mph and doesnt stop until i hit 65mph. its worst when im accelerating, but it still does it while im coasting along just not as bad.i read somewhere that it could be a bad u joint. is there anything else it could be? how bad would it be to fix it if it is a u joint?

you most likely have poorly balanced tires... or something in your drive train is poorly aligned ... does your steering wheel vibrate too?

How does it feel in turns? Hit any large potholes lately? My old POS used to do that and I didn't find out or care about it for that matter til the tire blew out, that the tires weren't balanced right and I had a slightly bent rim

steering wheel shakes a little, my shifter doesnt shake though. everything else is fine. only thing wrong is the vibrating at said speeds. wouldnt having bad balanced tires make the car vibrate at all speeds? the car doenst vibrate before 55 or after 65 mph.

I didn't have noticeable problems until around 45-60. The faster I got the less noticeable. How are turns? Any part of the car vibrate more than others?

no bad balance can affect certain speeds... my old wheels and tires were so bad that it vibrated from 68-73 mph and 35-45... weird

Possible bent rim then? can you feel a difference in left or right turns?

same here if im going faster than 65 it stops. it doesnt change when im turning or changing lanes. it seems that the dash vibrates the most, but thats probably because it makes the most noise.

i will check my u joints when i get home.
