Need Some Help (Stroking A 3.8)

Hey everyone just have a quick question, I want to stroke my 3.8 to like a 4.2 or 4.4. Is this going to give me a big hp boost? Also what is like an avrage cost of this?

Thanks for the help!

i've got a 4.2 with ported heads i def felt an increase in power and thats with an exhaust leak and the engine still aint broken in.. mine came with 250 to the crank so prolly around 190 to the wheels and it cost 2500 but i bought a whole new engine not just a strocker kit and if you do get a strocker kit go through supersix motor sports i've heard nothing but good things from them

B it all depends on what you want to do you can get a kit from some where that just has internals and it will run you right around a grand or two for that, then you can find somewhere local to build it up... if you need help finding someone i might be able to helpp you locate a place in Omaha or there is a shop in lincoln that i really like... so either way...

If you want links to stroker kits i would suggest
Super Six Motorsports
or
Tom Morana Racing Engines

dont get a 4.4 unless u will maintain the car N/A (naturally aspirated) cause the 4.4 wall are thin I pesonally dont find it safe runnng any kind of boost in them

a 4.2 or 4.3 will be ok
