Hey Im New Here And Have An Exhaust Question

I just bought a new 06 mustang coupe. I have a vision of how i eventually want this car to look but first thing is first. Exhaust. I LOVE the deep sound of the mustang GT and Cobra and i want this sound for my car! Does anyone know what i need to do to achieve this for my sixer? I know i probably should have bought a V8 but i am not financially secure enough yet to buy one, maybe when this one is paid for. ANy help is appreciated. Thanks alot!

no u shoulda got a 6 like u did. cuz with 3k it'll be faster already and u saved 2 grand. if you use 5 grand you'll have a supercharger and about 360hp with other bolt on likes the 03-04 cobras..

as far as the exaust if you want long tube headers (more hp then short tube) go this route
mac long tubes
http://rpm-mustangs.com/cart/product...cat=333&page=1
H pipe
http://rpm-mustangs.com/cart/product...cat=337&page=1
mac cat bak
http://rpm-mustangs.com/cart/product...cat=334&page=1

thats what Atlanticblue told me...i cant get it but if i could i'd probably do that.
but if u just want the exaust i'd say go with flowmaster 40's. thats what i got and its sounds nice. or if you want lik 1-3 or so more hp get magnoflow. all this can be done at a local muffler shop near ur house

This will give me the sound i want? Extra horsepower would be nice so i may go that route as long as i get that deep power sound. I love it. Thanks for the reply.

No those links are for the wrong year. Those are 99-04 links, newer mustang parts will cost more and give a different sound because of the 4.0L engine.

you will have a deep sound at low rpms, but no matter what exhaust you have, anyhting above 3k rpms will sound like shit on the v6 with stock cams

as AB posted those wont fit, but this is the right section:
http://rpm-mustangs.com/cart/home.php?cat=305

also check out the master parts reseller list:
http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...st-vt3770.html

to expand a little on the comparison the reason why your v6 wont sound like the v8 is because they are two different designs.. the v6 is a evenfire engine unlike the v8 therefore the exhaust notes sound totally different...

shit..... my bad i always forget that shit....idk bout the sound but im sure it'll sound good, u should really ask AB or 99mustang232.

even tho 99mustang232 sed it wont sound like a v8 ..which it wont..ive still heard sum v6's that have been modded with headers, heads, and such and they sound Just as good. not the same but you wouldnt guess its a 6. good luck with ur pick.
as for hp, i was told that it wont really give u that much hp if ur engine is stock, but as u add mods the exaust will help the engine breath better then ur gettin more use and hp outta it

You will see very healthy gains with a full off road exhaust even on a stock car. you can get 20rwhp with long tubes and no cats over the stock restrictions without a tune.

because of the firing order, as mentioned before, no matter how modded, you wont have a 4.6-sounding 3.8-4.3 v6. you can throw in aggressive cams and get a lopey idle and rev high, but you still wont have the destinction of the 4.6.

long tubes and 4.10s with a tune are the best you can do for a bolt on n/a car

i just got dual exaust from a guy that does custom work with flo 40's. it sounds beautiful!! the coolest part was that he bent all the tubes in front of me and if anything it was worth it just to watch. so if u wanna see some true craftmanship, then find a custom exaust shop, and have um do it from scratch! and just like he said, after 3000, it doesnt sound much different at all, but up till there... its mean.
