Brakes help

Hey guys,
My brakes are getting a bit worn. I think they'll probably last another 6 months to a year. I figure since I have these nice 18" rims that when I need new ones, I could replace them with something a bit bigger and better than the stock brakes. Does anyone have any suggestions? What can I go with? Does anybody have a good link? Several years from now I do plan on a TT, so I figure better brakes is a good investment.

get cobra brakes... thats wut i wanted 2 do but sadly i dont have the money

Where can I get them? how much do they cost? Can I get them new or do I need to take them off an old cobra? What other options do I have?

big brake kits, are over 1000 bucks, just so you know, a cobra brake upgrade would be what i would do but they are hard to get a hold of

Cobra brake kit isn't hard to get at all...

BTW I'm just wondering how much more are these brakes than it would be to get new stock brakes? I'm sure I'm gonna go with the cobras, but I was just wondering.

Just to replace pads & rotors ... Those are prob 550$ more [thats me being lazy not looking up prices] Go to autozone.com and check the prices on stock rotors & calipers

Since forever? Check back in old mustang magazines they were always on the page with the million other parts racing seats, body kits, etc.

yeah but did it always fit the v6? all the kits i ever looked at were gt upgrades.

i saw a few cobra brake kits in the 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords magazine... i cant remember if it said it would fit the v6 tho

they are brakes.... why wouldn't they fit?

i think they say GT upgrade cuz the GT comes with 17" rims stock which is what you need to use the cobras. The only difference between us and the Gt is that the Gt has a bigger motor and 8.8 rear end

ya any brakes from a same modle style mustang will fit asuming that u have the necessary wheel clearence for the brakes

that is very incorrect.

as far as brakes go.. they will fit.
