Dashboard hole.....

i got this garmin navigation screen that has become really useful, well the wire is the problem, im going to drill a hole in the dashboard, really small, that the wire will fit through but what im wondering is if i drill a small hole will the sun start to crack the dash starting with that point??

okay, let me try to rephrase this to see if everyone understands, will a hole drilled into my dashboard start to crack the entire thing from the sun and all.

it shouldn't, if your scared it will you can get one of those anchors for wall screws and put that in the hole to fill it. where are you mounting it though? Cause you can probaby just go the ur vents and just cut out a groove for the wire

no it shouldnt but if youre really worried about it theres plenty of places you can run the wire unnoticed

okay, this is how it went down, i plugged the gps into the cig lighter in the center console, drilled a hole inside that center console, ran the wire through the hole middle section, behind my shifter, behind radio and drilled a hole in the top of the dash, put a rubber grommet like onemanzu said and done, it actually looks really awesome, i didnt think it would come out that good, i take pictures just cause it was done so well.
