the reason you had rubbing issues it right in your sig... 235/55.... a 55 side wall is why it was rubbing. the reason it isnt rubbing now is because the spacer pushed the wheel/tire out further so when you have the wheel turned it isnt hitting the botton og the fenderwell anymore

get 18x9 saleens and the tire should be 265/35 R17 a 35 side wall will have no rubbing issues even when lowered

I have 18x9 and 18x10 and don't have ANY rubbing issues. You def didn't have the right tires on there. BTW since your tires are too big with those rims you really need to get your speedo recalibrated. I agree american muscle is a good place to look. You also might want to try Latemodel Restoration Supply - America's #1 Restoration and Performance Parts Warehouse they have some good deals on tire and rim combos. I have 18" chrome DD rims and tires. They cost me $1300 after shipping mounted and balanced.

real saleens are a tad harder to find in 17s ... 18s don't look half bad...

its your choice though

dude if your rubbing with 17x8 you need a thinner tire in your pic they look a little big anyway. drop to a 255/45 and you'll be good but wheel spacer can cause some big problems

and if you wont real saleen you have to get 18s and you will need to drop about 3500 just on the rims for new ones

he waqs talking about getting 17x9 rims so it would be 265/35/R17 but if you get 18's then yes it would be 265/35/R18

center cap, and the made by saleen stamp on the inside of the rim, and a production number, and the replicas you can get in more options besides chrome, and if you want chrome the replicas will probably hold up better, real saleen rims are notorious for flakeing chrome

well normally you only buy real ones if you have a saleen, and they only offer the chrome option to the public but if you own a saleen you can get color matched ones as well, but it is all about number matching since they are limited edition cars all the numbers and plaques and stamps need to be there, and if your making a clone and want it to be accepted by saleen you need to have all real saleen parts and equipment, badges and interior

you also have the wrong backspacing because they are for an 07

well they can throw off alignment, they will make your tires wear funny since they will mess up the camber of the wheels, they are also bad for shearing off and dropping off your wheel if you ever take a tight or hard turn
