they will transfer and 96-04 autos should be the same... 4r70w

if it is a 4r70w then it will work as long as you change the bell housing

ah... that sucks... if you are just replacing the tail on an auto ... as long as its from a 4r70w it has a very high chance of working... i cannot guarantee this information though

Did anyone think about asking a local Car Quest? I deal with then on a daily basis and get several tranny parts from them, they should have an extension housing seal.......

Yeh i have the seal, i needed the bushing, sooo we had to go like 30 miles up the road to get it, we got home and the bushing wasnt even the right size, imagine that, by dad was sooooo mad, then he got to looking, and what we have fits an old tranny, like fox body old atleast, we havea drive shaft from about an 85 layng around, so he calls em back tells em what we have, the mentions that is a 4r70w, and they were like ooo its that one, yeh we dont carry that. Ford Dealership says the same thing, plus they cant even order it which is the stupidest thing ive ever heard of. But my dad got to looking around online, and found a website that sales the bushing for like 2.25 i was like your telling me i have to order a 2.25 cent part off of the internet. Sorry for the rant just thought id update you. O by the way we think a solenoid is out in it.

Are you retarted? I'm a sextuple certified technician and deal with problems like this on a daily basis. You CAN buy seals for our transmission at a Car Quest, I do so on a DAILY basis, for those of you who think I am full of crap, go to school and learn something, then you might be able to understand what I am saying.......

Being an electronic trans has nothing to do with a seal leaking or the computer knowing how fast you are going, Being electronic acctually helps, it points un to the right direction faster then you mgiht think as then we have a DTC to go off of. Big whoop if I get a bad rep for this, I don't care anymore, your all sub 20 punks that don't know anything about cars and try to play racer with a 6 instead of making it a daily driver like it's meant to be. Racer is only ment to be played on an 8, 6ers ain't shit, pull up your pants and gro the fuck up.......

the bushing you will probably only find on the internet, and a shift solenoid being out is a good possibility, but you would be bouncing into that gear everytime if that was the case

No need to call people names... it makes you look immature... and you have stated your opinion "go to car quest" ... what if there isn't on in his town? what if they don't have it? ...

dude you need to relax noob. if you think someone is wrong correct them dont start calling people names and then start talking shit on the very cars we drive, just because someone wants to made a fast or better then stock 6 doesnt make them a retard or a bad person, i actually think its great that so many guys myself included enjoy working on their 6er. chris torres can smoke V8's all day with his turbo set up and i know a few others also on this site and others. also i have seen some misinformation coming from you in other posts. you claim to be in automechanics but lack the knowlege of some basic things and came to this site thinking you are some kind of know all hero of the car world. if you want to help here and give good useful information please do, if not you are wasting your time and ours. if you are wrong people are going to correct you and you cant get all defensive about it, no one knows everything about every question. you need to relax and if you think someone has posted incorrect information correct them, dont call them names and go out on rants because you yourself so far have posted misinformation in other posts. so either calm down or dont post simple as that especcially immature post such as your last one name calling and talking shit on our cars, you called us sub 20 punks when you yourself are acting like a 10 year old, perhaps its you who needs to grow up and stop thinking you are better then everyone because you claim you work at an auto shop
