Wat is this part


it looks similar to a pcv valve accept it has an inlet on 1 side an exaust an the other and a pos and neg wire comming off the botton.. the auto parts store called it a pcv valve but im in the dark here... and it has what looks like 1 pos and 1 neg wires coming off the bottom... anybody have n e ideas???

you say that its on one side of the exhaust?? PCV goes from the valve cover back to the upper intake manifold.....

If it is on the Exhaust then it is most likley the EGR Valve

Isnt the EGR valve on the passenger side header? or am i thinking of something else?

im really at a loss adrenaline. Im not familiar with that old of an engine to really help. If you can find yourself a teardown manual....that might be your best shot.

sounds like an Evap purge valve. or the valve that regulates egr vacuums. those are the only 2 electric valves i can think of in that area

sounds to me like your talking about the egr vacuum regulator

is your car a 6 cyl or a 4 cyl? and ive only seen a FI v6 lol im to young for that carbed stuff. a carbed v8 would be sweet tho...

Thanks everybody. Its the evap purge valve now all ive gotta figure out is how to either bypass it or replace it
