What did you look for a 1997 base vette?

A 07 z06 doesn't run anywhere close to 13s... more like 11's

The Ford GT was designed to fuck up Ferrari...which it does. And dollar for dollar the Ford GT is best when compared to the Ferrari. The GT is a supercar....where the corvette is not. The viper is more of an exotic sports car than just a regular sports car....and is not a supercar.

Hmm does your Dad know what was done to it? Personally I wouldn't buy a modded car if I didn't know what the mods were. As it stands now it sounds like you need to look at having a car that can hold that kind of power, but you probably want to find out everything that's been done first.

As far looking into a mechanic shop, find something local. They do exist, and you want something close buy in case you have ever have issues or need work done. It's usually best if you try to stay with the same shop (if you find one you like).

Oh and when it comes to them being weird because you're a girl, its probably more because you have that car, and if they think you modded it, they're going to be impressed because its rare to find girls who are into that. That or sometimes mechanics are just really sketchy. You can always drop your car off and then pick it up and just ask them to make a list of whats been done and they should explain everything to you. Or have your dad take the car in for you. Ultimately you want to find a mechanic shop where they don't make you feel uncomfortable, maybe the shop your dad goes to?
