it will sound a little more raspy. Keep in mind with no cats u wont pass emissions if your state has them.

i had them cut the back two cats and ran an X and its not that raspy...and i think an H gives off a deeper lower tone than an X

nor do they need a h pipe, because of the even fireing order.

and as for the sound it is all a mater of opption. some like the divorced duals, others the h pipe, and some, like me, like the x pipe. so just get what u thinks sounds best because praformance wise they are all just about the same.

as far as the mid-pipe goes it is all personal preference....but as far as not needing true dual, you might want to get your facts right. if you put LTs with HF cats and still use a y-pipe....yur gonna have a serious bottleneck. true duals are a great mod....the pipe sizing is what matters. True duals with only minor upgrades 2.25in piping. if you have LTs or any kind of forced induction yur gonna want 2.5 in piping.

Tell that to all the trans am guys, you could do a y pipe exhaust with a 2.5" Y and be fine if you REALLY wanted to.

That being said you don't need an x or h pipe on our cars.

the best set up ive heard with a true dual on a v6 was used with an x pipe, no cats, flowmaster super 40's, and a GT cut off, it does have a raspyness to it but it doesnt have the riceyness to it in the higher rpms....check it out but in the end its all personal preference, i HATE the sound of a ricer so i want to stear clear of that sound, so of course this is going to be the most appealing to me

If the GMs could fit the true duals, you know they would.

if you go catless you will have more backpressure loss, thus leading to more low end torque loss. however it will be louder and its not that raspy. if you dont have emmisions you should get l/t headers also and run catless, thats what i would do if i didnt have emmissions
