i dono i havent seen it, the owner wants 1000 and its been hit in the right rear hard enough to be considered totaled. my T5 tranny will work with the 302 right>? says the engine runs good too...

yes it will not sure about the bellhousing though
that 302 motor is kinda well...its an upgrade but not worth it to do the swap to much time and labor to put into to it. unless you can do it yourself |

if you can get all the parts from the donor car and can install everything yourself then it could be worth it. it will take a lot of work though

I wouldnt say its worth it...the amount of money /time you will be investing to make the swap u can just use to put a s/c or turbo on your current mustang. engine swap arent worth it unless you go BIG and plan on investing alot into it.

time/effort is also considered "money" if you think of it economically. The amount of time you put into it compared to the time you can be working makin money. easier to s/c rather than go through a swap to end up with number a little better than ours stock. stock 94/95 cobra was what 220..240 hp? that old of an engine isnt gonna be as efficent as it was brand new....so prolly subtract 15% power loss from age too. hows the swap looking now.....s/c is better way to go.

^ +1. I looked up and the 94 cobra had 240 hp at 4800 rpm. s/c is IMO better route

Yeah now take in consideration the power lost from its age and you are lookin at a little gain above what we have stock. yeah its potential is great once its rebuilt....but why put all the time in effort when you can just put a stage 2 or 3 power pak on your current stang or s/c it.

i think it would be fun... If you can get everything for dirt cheap and swap it into your car it could turn out amazingly cool... and while your in the midst of the swap... you could replace all the gaskets on the cobra and maybe put in a new cam and work the heads a bit to... more like build the cobra motor up before swapping it then just drop it in... the only thing is the PATs system might get in your way but honestly i have no idea

the cobra has more potential than the v6. for a full swap if he can do it all himself for $1000 is cheaper than getting a s/c then has a better platform to build on. i would say go for it.. if i could get a 95 cobra for $1000 and it had everything i needed i would swap it in a heartbeat
