Will it fit?A 94-98 will fit but is more narrow, which would look funny and probaly rub. But I've heard of people using an 8.8" rear end from a Ranger and/or Explorer...Would this fit? And what years would it have to be? |

Why would you want to. I would say anything can fit with fabrication. But unless your running high HP why not just build your stocker with a limited slip
and beef it up a little

if you true trac the 7.5 then you wont have to worry about it either... unless you plan on going to the track every weekend and pounding it into the ground with a lot of hp

the true trac is a pretty beefy locker.. it should hold fine unless he sees lots of track time. there is a turbo v6 still runnin on the 7.5... ask torres about him also

Well my plan is to put a 4.3 stroker and the m112 blower. That of course will take a couple of years but I would rather just get an 8.8 now then beef up my 7.5 and have to buy one later....Spend a little more now and save later. I junkyard said they would give me an 03 8.8 for $500 and my 7.5" but then I would still have to install gears on that so im kinda just sitting back and being patient so I can find what I want.

you can buy a brand new 8.8 with whatever gears you want directly from ford racing and have it delivered to any ford dealer for 800
