No lights on the instrument cluster

While i was in florida on leave, my instrument cluster lights and my lights for my a/c controls, or even better my dimmer light function doesnt work. every time i replace the fuse it blows. was wondering if anyone would have any ideas or sugestions. right now i im down to replacing the light switch but just wondering if that is the right path.

you may have some bad wiring or a short somewhere if it keeps continually blowing the fuse

i doubt it is in the switch if your headlights come one, you just have to trace your wires and look for it

I don't think it's the switch. You do have a short somewhere. There are things you can do, but I would suggest a shop for this one.

had a guy at work who sat out in the parking lot and went through like 10 fuses, i ended up going out there and took the negative side of the battery off for him. fuse worked like a charm then.

yeah shorts and grounds are bad news. i just went trough that issue myself and a you can have bad ground almost anywhere and blow fuses. my MAIN ground wire was loose and it kept blowing only one fuse and it was for the turn lamps lol. good luck man hope its cheap if you have to get someone to do it.
