there are many debate threads on here for the gear selections, but most say on the v6 go with 3.73 for T5 (manual) and 4.10 for 4r70w (automatic), or 4.10 for N/A and 3.73 for F/I, but none the less you will need to correct the computer for the gear ratio change which can be done several ways... handheld tuner such as SCT XCAL2 or Strategy, Diablo.... going to the dealership where they can reflash, getting a custom reflash or chip from your local tunning shop or even a mail order chip from a tuning shop like VMPTuning.

if you get the xcal 2, you can change the speedo through that by selecting a different axle ratio.

You could also go to this place:

www.v6mustangstuff.com

They offer a good selection for V6's and they also have mechanical replacement parts for you to install when you change your gears and/or the T-lok. I am lookin at gettin their 3.73 gear and T-lok in a couple of months and I'd rather not flash if I don't have to to so.
Also, on another forum I asked about the 4.10 gears and was told that they will run your RPM's higher, not sure what kind of damage that will do under daily driving. But, the guy did say that it constantly sounds like it's burining up or something, especially when he gets on the highway or freeway.
