it just depends on what connections you have. if you know people it will be cheap. but if not you might want to just go with a kit.

Id rather pay more from a company who gives me a warranty, and the pieces are made to fit my car, than to take it to an exhaust shop where the piping they will use will end up rusting faster than what I paid for from the larger company. Call me crazy, but I like quality.

Either save a dime, and have it rust on you

or save up, and pay up for quality.
1++
most exhaust shops use aluminized mandrel bent piping to make their kits
thats why i refrained from getting a full exhaust and just had them cut out my y pipe and put a custom pipe with no crossovers in and weld that to my catback, they guy told me if i wanted them to do stainless steel piping, it would be in a whole different ball park price wise, plus they would have to order the piping

what does pre tested have to do with anything?? there just a bunch of pipes and mufflers...

most of the time your going to have a shop with pre bent tubings, thats how everyone here in lincoln does it... but either way you just getting the exhaust out the back end of the car... in my opinion you are going to have a bit of custom work either way unless you bitch out and get the Y pipe back kit... in which case you either need just think about what your doing, or stop modding your car

Or buy a h-pipe and bolt on true duals....no custom work there...unless you want different mufflers
