Ebay Mac Exhaust

Hi, I got some christmas money plus I was able to work over christmas and found this on ebay, item number 260121920208 (shorty header, offroad h-pipe, catback, all Mac parts). Will it fit on my 2000 V6 convertible? And my other question is when it comes time for me to sell my car, how expensive do you think it would be to get two cats welded in so that I can get my car safetied?

Edit: Also, would I need anything extra to go with this kit? or will it just bolt on without requiring any MIL eliminators or that kind of garbage that longtubes need?

doesnt seem like to bad of a price, but you could get mac L/T headers, and a mac catback and then have a custom H pipe made for probably less money then that

thats where the problem is - there is NO good custom exhaust place in my city that doesn't charge ridiculous amounts

and i thought longtubes didn't work on convertibles? some sites and auctions say coupe only, i would much rather long tubes tho

o i didnt realize you have a conv. i dont think they do because of the support underneath or something like that. do you have emmissions laws? if not you should go catless

i plan on going catless, its just that i can't sell my car for very much unless i get cats put on, so I was planning on doing that right before I sell (which hopefully won't be for a long time)

so if I buy that from the ebay auction as well as some MIL eliminators i should be fine?

yes but i think it would be too much money especially considering you will have to pay for it all to be installed. that kit will work but i think you are overspending for something you could spend less money on

well installation is cheap for me because i work at a Ford dealership ($30/hour labour instead of the usual $90), and when i called a couple places to ask for custom exhaust work they quoted $700 to cut off the pipes after the cats, do a custom H and then go in to their V-force or whatever they are called mufflers, and those are at the cheaper places that don't do a great job of welding pipes together so that they flow well ( you should see what they did for my temporary muffler and tip install... horrible)

so 700ish for the custom exhaust or 850-900 for full 2.5" Mac

i'll give it a few days and then decide which one i want to go with

well if you dont trust the shops and were quoted $700 then i think you have made a good decision with that one on ebay.
