Hid Kit

chromestang01 Regular Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 66	Hid Kit I have a hid kit that is 10000K.I was wondering can that be upgraded to like 12000K just with diff hid bulbs or do i have to get two new ballasts to make it work?

It is brighter and whiter than halogen bulbs that just rely on current heating up a filament to produce light. The HID kit allows you to use HID bulbs in your stang. i believe its illegal to put an HID kit on a car that didnt come with them, at least thats what i have heard, and the kit i ordered is 8000K which could be considered tooo blue by some cops, in which case im double illegal. if your HIDD's are really too blue a cop could give you a ticket for impersonationg a police oficer, because your not allowed to have and blue or red lights(except tail lights) on the car
