Carbon Fiber Driveshaft


Does anyone know what all companys make a carbon fiber drive shaft for our cars? Ive only managed to find one and there have to be more than that.

All you need to do to make it fit an auto is put the auto yoke on it, and your good to go. Thats the only difference is the yoke.

you can get a cheap CHEAP! aluminum drive shaft off a 460 interceptor (police crown vic) in the scrap yard. all you have to do is change the yolks on it so it bolts up to your diff and then the slip yolk on the other end for the trany. Me and a mechanic buddy of mine measured the Interceptors drive shaft when it was in the dealership for service and it is the exact same length. then he said just change the yolks and your good to go.

so if i were to buy one brand new what model year would i look at? i heard 94/95 and then reuse yolk....yes?

im not sure. i only measured the new edge. and compared it to the interceptor. easy way to tell would be to see if a sn95 new edge and the s197 have the same OEM part # for the drive shaft or not. if they do then they are the same there for the same length there for the interceptors would work.

all the ones i have seen and id say 99-03 id look for cuz those r the only interceptors i have seen... all same drive tran

thats because that is AM's driveshaft they sell. chipsv6specialties.com has a contract with them and sell certain things off their website, so shipping will be the same
