depends on tune

the more air, the more fuel.

you will need a larger fuel pump, fuel injectors and a larger MAF as well as other misc. things to get it all working, and if you run high boost, you will suffer at the pump.

if you stay in the low rpms and out of boost for the most part, you wont have adverse results

usually, if you have the money to s/c, you have the money for gas

N/A Route...

Ok, if im going the N/A route, what all can i do to my car there? I dont really know much of what i can do other than a port and polish, and that you have to do somewhere and its expensive isnt it? I already have a cold air intake. My exhaust is also a true dual exhaust.

Side note, anyone know how to get rid of the popping sound from my exhaust, it makes it sound kinda like a truck. I find that its only in the higher RPM's and usualy when i let off the accelerator its more noticable... Otherwise under like 3.5 or 4k, it sounds great, got that GT kind of rumble i like, yet still economical.

depends on your mufflers, cats, and pipe sizing/bends to get rid of popping noise. you may have leaks somewhere in the system too...

for the n/a route, check out supersixmotorsports.com

i dont think u can get rid of that popping sound. i have heard GT's with bassani or Borla exaust and wen u let off it makes a diff sound, but with no popping..look at sum videos an u'll see. but i dont think u can get rid of that
porting and polishing is expensive from wat i heard and doesnt give u much gains

BS. p/p is expensive, true, but can net higher gains than any bolt on mod, and even greater gains with high flowing mods such as forced induction of even long tube headers.

heads and intake about 800-1300 bucks (stage 1-sage 3) to core out stock and receive p/p from ssms.com.

stage 2 adds 70+ rwhp n/a and safe
stage 3 adds 90+ rwhp n/a and safe

add a cam, and a dyno tune and you will be n/a faster than some modded 4.6's

gears+tlock, UDP's, full exhaust with longtube headers, p/p heads w/larger valves, cam, p/p intake manifolds or sheetmetal upper manifold, valvetrain upgrades, new internals, main girdle, windage tray, tubular k-member, electrical/ignition, tuning

what is your current setup, most v6 mustang exhaust setups sound great in the lower rpm's or idle and raspy in the higher rpms or WOT

I have dual all the way back... 2 cats, and 2.25 all the way back after the cats, no mufflers, the whole shibang, haha. I just dont like the popping noise that comes out after I let off the accelrator when im at about 4.5k or above, makes a popping kinda sound, someone said something about backpressure or something, would an x-pipe fix this? Im also looking into new high flow cats and bigger exhaust manifolds. And what is WOT?

you not having mufflers will make your exhaust sound like shit. x and h pipe wont change backpressure or equalize any pressures of an even firing essex v6 motor. wot is wide open throttle

Actualy, it sounds pretty good right now, i took it back to the shop, one side was 2.25 and the other was only 2... so i think it sounds alright so far, i'd rather not have a muffler, unless there is one that has very little HP loss to it, and i really like my car noisy enough to be noticeable.

magnaflow mufflers perform sometimes at 1rwhp less than no mufflers, but increase tq across the curve of no mufflers. stock gt mufflers perform very well too and make more power than no mufflers

this info is gotten from justin who tunes mustangs and is over at v6power.

no that is not good. that comes out of a Y pipe so it is a dual-single-dual setup. you need a new midpipe to gain power
