Intake Question

I have a 99 stang and I recently put on a K&N cold air induction kit. When I was taking it out for a drive to make sure it sounded right, it made a low pitch wistleing noise. But it did not sound as if it was not installed right. Is it supposed to make that noise?

yes it will make a whooshing or a whistling noise. if you have a vacumm leak it will usually bog down unless its before the MAF. just re check your connections and if they all seem square and tight im sure your fine. i have the same noise im thinking its normal. cuz i cant find any leaks and i checked for 20 min last night on mine.

assuming that all the everything is tight, yes you will hear a whistling noise or whoosing noise.
