like to add too that weather its SCT Xcal or Sniper Special forces. if youve added boost or something like that they tune your getting from the hand helds if going to be conservative as hell. and your not going to make the power you would going to a dyno and having your tune tweaked.
PRP & WB + LL3 = no need for dyno

in therory. but a dyno tune might show you more gains. Commando + WB + Recon = No dyno in theory as well. but IMO id hit a dyno still if it was my ride.

Professional tuner > personal tune

sounds to me like it jumped time ......tear down the front cover and check the timing , might have broke the timing chain or something .........have you noticed any pinging with the tune I sent? have you put a wideband on the car yet ?

I have the stock f150 heads, hand ported to match the gaskets. Stock valves and compression. I tore down the enigne today and so far, pistons, rings, cylinder walls, heads, valves, pushrods, rockers, and lifters all appear fine. There is however some sludge buildup in the intakes. Tommorow i will take out the cam, and check the timing gears and chain but so far i have found nothing out of the ordinary. There was however a few tiny flakes or shreds of metal inside the oil filter so something must be messed up.

Also it seems that the frame where the a arms attach is slightly bent in because there is very big dent in the passanger side header and i cannot seem to get the header out even though i have done it at least 5 times before.

Just FYI: you need better flowing heads for that cam...

well sounds like a simple parts failure , make sure you check out the oil pump and make sure its not locked up ....and pull the cam completely out to check it out for any damage .....cam and oil pump failures are the 2 most often problems with new engines .....

Okey, well the problem has been found. The cam gear that drives the cam position sensor was grinding with the cam position senors gear and they were wearing on eachother shreading the gears a little. Now the question is did any of those shreds work their way up into the cylinders. the passangers side cylinders all appear to be fine, but i havent looked at the drivers side yet. Also what damage could have it done the crank or anyhting below the cylinders? I do not belive this was a tuning issue at all for all you people who called me an idiot for not getting a dyno tune. Also, the car only ran for about thirty seconds since the installation of a new oil filter, but there wasnt even a drop of oil in it, could this be an oil pump problem, or did it just not run long enough perhaps?

I think what he mean (hmusn) is did you just throw together your parts without making sure they worked together.... You defiantly need better flowing heads for a 224/224 cam.

You might want to invest in a WB.

well i should be fine without the wideband if im taking it to a dyno correct? And yea i did pretty much randomly throw the parts together, but i was following what tom morana of morana racing told me to do. I figured he has a well known site and builds racing mustangs so i figured he would know what he is talking about. Im looking in to getting the ported big valve heads from rpm-mustangs, they look like about the best heads for the money. 258cfm @ .550" lift intake
153cfm @ .550" lift exhaust
i want to do this while the engine is apart and before i go get it dyno'd. I also am considering the windstar upper intake, but how will this all work out if i still keep my gasket matched lower?

I've been to the dyno, and I still have a wide band.
