Yes, the CC should cut disengage when you tap the brake or the clutch. It is a safety mechanism to prevent run-away. I may not know much, but I know that much. Now, I do not know about the new cars, but the CC on older model (pre-2000) operated via vacuum. If your CC still operates on this principal, then a vacume leak possibly causing your idle issue, could be messing with the CC and not allow it to disengage when you hit the brake or clutch pedal.

1 have a 1995 v6 and the clutch sensor only works half the time i can slowly depress the clutch and my CC just revs my engine
brake switch still works gr8 though (thank god) |
