Question

Best Types Of Headers?


I am looking for headers and dont no what to get. Whats the difference performancewise between long tube and shorties? Whats the best brand?

longtubes will give you more velocity down the runners which makes them superior to shorties. MAC and BBK are the only company i know of that make LTs for the V6. From what ive heard/read, shorties will not benefit you much.

BBK only makes shortys for our cars
so mac is the inly ones that make lt's for our cars.

I still have yet to see BBKs for our car that are in current production

I almost swear they used to make them. I think i remember debating whether to go with BBK or MAC when i first bought my headers. hmmm

ive always heard recommendations for MAC over BBK anyways......BBKs have leak issues at the collector from what ive read about em.

I don't think bbk EVER made long tubes for our cars.

they made them for about 6 months when the 99's first hit the market but they didn't sale since mac had such a better product, but LT's are the way to go

long tubes FTW. Be sure to check out ur emissions laws before you buy them. Some states do not allow them (like California.....assholes lame... )

Yeah LTs are illegal in VA, I'm not sure about MD. If you can LTs are much better than shorties.

LTs are the only upgrade to get really the only benefit from shorties is if you got ceramic go with MAC lt's its the only company now not jba
