Seafoam

With my extra time this weekend I am going to be changing my oil. I figured at 54k miles, why not seafoam the stang as well? My question, should I seafoam it before or after I change the oil?

before definetly.
if you put 1/3 in your crankcase as well as your pcv valve it will loosen all the varnish and gum and whatnot. not good to keep that stuff floating around in the engine, im doing mine as well today.

well hmmm if u put it in and then drain it that doesnt make much sense? the directions say put it in the crank cuz and then change the oil and filter in 3000 miles just like usual.

Do it like 500 mine before you change your oil. You dont need to leave it in there for 3000 miles, all those stuff in there will not do your engine any good moving around.

I suggest you read that direction again, you may want to talk to someone who also done it before, its hard to hydrolock you motor with it, but there's a way to do it right.

do it before put some in your oil, drive about 500 miles with it in the oil and change the oil again
