I always wondered bout that... but how does the exhaust create so much power? I'd imagine even tho the supercharger takes energy away directly from the belt, the pay-off would be incredibly greater than the compression of the turbocharger using exhaust... does it hafta do with air temp/density?
exhaust flow spins a turbine that spools the air charge creating boost. ask some of the guys in the poweradder forum for more details
