Road Racer

I'm planning on building my V6 for road racing and I know what I want to do with the brakes and suspension but I was wandering if I can get any suggestions on the engine. I'm not worried about a power adder if I get one then I'll get nitrous its cheap and easier for straight line performance, I'm wanting to now if it would be easier to just rebuild my 3.9 with forged internals and the typical bolt-ons or go with a stroker, any and all help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

if yur going to be road racing....why would you want nitrous??? as fas as engine build up, i think it would be nice to have a stroker with an aggressive cam, and some good flowing head and upper/lower intake as well as all the common bolt ons.

ya im planing on doing the same but nitruse is just dumb for a road race car, it will have not point, and just be extra wheight and mony that gets u nothing.
as far as the engin goes i am going with abilt NA moter, and gana try and get as much displace ment out of it as posible, but it is not gan be cheep. sou i would seggest going FI to get u dessent power, and a reasonable price.
if u have a AIM and would like to talk more or ask spasific questins let me know

and welcome to MM

A stroker with good heads and a cam that's set up for a Road-Race car would do you pretty well if you don't want to go F/I.

BTW, look up "greensteeda" on 3.8mustang.com... He's building his V6 for Road-Racing and he's from Tennessee as well.

Oh, and I'd be interested in hearing your current mods and overall plans, including suspension and such.
