a buddy of mine just got a 2002 v6 mustang, white, nice 18" rims, chrome, this thing already has traction control to, only paid 6 grand for it. he brings it over and decides to seafoam, he parks it in the backyard, pops the hood, seafoam goes into the pcv valve, almost the whole can, idk why, then he shuts the car off, we wait a couple mins, he then goes to start it,.....no-start....the car wasnt event trying to turn over, it sounded like and 18v power drill evertime he turned the key, in the end we found the bendex was broken in the starter, after replacing that, the car sounded like it was trying to turn over, Hydro-lock, after sitting with that seafoam in it for about 2 hours. we pulled the spark plugs out and then turned the key to spit the seafoam left in out the spark plug area.
my question is, is their another way of getting the car out of being hydro-locked or do you have to basically remove the sparkplugs like that?

Hmm,
I don't know if seafoam has the capability of hydro locking a car... But I still wouldn't pour an entire can into my crankcase...

What do you have to do to get that effect? Pour the entire can?

I know what hydrolock is, but never from seafoam....

My friend had a z28 with a ram air setup that was down on the ground almost, and one day it was POURING DOWN, got stuck in and incline for about 30seconds too long and ended up pulling a motor that night...

Put a socket on a breaker bar or half inch ratchet and manually turn the crank i had to do this once cuz i got interrupted seafoaming by my neighbor.

PS> u will have to turn the crank about 10-20 times manually. u will hear the seafoam forcing its self through the valve tran. also make sure u got a good charge in the battery cuz its going to take some serious CCA to get the beast to turn. however you will get it going again

before you manually turn it suck as much as the seafoam out as you can or let it evaporate.

well we ended up taking out the spark plugs, then held a grill lighter to the opening and let blow out the end. much quicker, just make sure your hand isnt near that opening.
